Dutch-Slovenian knowledge exchange conference

Event highlights

We are inviting you to join the conference with Dutch experts in sustainable mobility and contribute to shaping and advancing important discussions on sustainable mobility in Slovenia.

On 26 March 2025, we will host several experts from the Netherlands, including representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water, Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways), the City of Utrecht, the Dutch Cycling Embassy and Delft University of Technology.

The transport sector is one of the biggest contributors to climate change. The transition to sustainable mobility is therefore more urgent than ever. To minimize our impact on natural resources, we need to use smarter solutions. A well-designed and efficient public transport system is at the heart of this transition.

The Netherlands has been a leader in sustainable mobility solutions. Dutch transport planning is based on efficiency, innovation, and integration. A key feature of the Dutch public transport system is its multimodality, which seamlessly connects the different modes of transport — including bicycles, e-scooters and carsharing – to ensure a smooth last-mile journey. Real-time passenger information, continuous user feedback and system improvements contribute to a high standard of public transport.

Join the exchange between Slovenia and Netherlands on organisation, communication and digitalisation of public transport and strategies for planning an efficient intermodal transport system.

The event is divided into two sessions, featuring inspirational presentations and panel discussions. A networking lunch will be provided after the sessions, offering an opportunity to connect with fellow participants and experts.

08:30 – 11:00 | Effective communication to improve passenger experience
11:30 – 13:30 | Planning intermodal passenger transport

Participation is free of charge. The working language of the event is English.
