How the TG-WeB network connects Western Balkan partners around territorial governance, cohesion and the Territorial Agenda 2030
On June 3rd and 4th a virtual conference of representatives of the TG-WEB network, the Western Balkans Network on Territorial Governance took place under the organization of IPoP. The focal point of discussion were development possibilities of territorial governance for Western Balkan countries in light of Territorial Agenda 2030.
The Territorial Agenda 2030 was adopted during the German Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2020. Lively discussion took place among the 28 participants, members of the TG-WeB network from different countries, on the possibilities of cooperation of the Western Balkans in the implementation of the Territorial Agenda 2030.
On the first day participants shared the research and good practice results from their countries in the area of territorial and urban governance and development, they presented upcoming projects and recognized civil society as crucial for the Territorial Agenda 2030 implementation.
The second day’s workshop was dedicated to formulation of proposals for Western Balkans cooperation in Territoral Agenda 2030 implementation. Participants defined five key topics for the proposal, which will be presented during the upcoming Slovenian Presidency to the Council of the EU:
