Sustainable mobility in kindergartens and schools
The project Sustainable mobility in kindergartens and schools is about promoting sustainable mobility to children, youngsters, parents, teachers, headmasters, municipality employees etc., with an intention to impact travel habits and road safety in relation to schools. The project incorporates complete approach of promoting sustainable mobility which includes development of various gams aimed at different age populations of children. The games provide an opportunity for sustainable mobility promotion and enable school classes to compete in pupils’ modal split structure. One game is called White rabbit and has been played before while the other is being developed within the project. Both games would be equipped with materials containing information on games for teachers and parents, manuals and leaflets promoting sustainable mobility and questionnaires. The questionnaires will supply researchers with information on how children actually travel to school and what kind of impact had the games had on their daily mobility habits.
