EU 2020 Going Local was a capitalisation project co-funded by INTERREG IVC Programme. The partnership was composed of 14 partners from 9 EU member states. Slovene partner in the project was Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region. Through regional cooperation, the project intended to contribute to an effective implementation of the EU 2020 strategy at the local and the regional level. The main theme in the project was “Energy and sustainable transport” and four sub-themes “Local/Regional Climate Impact and Sustainable Management Control System”, “Renewable Energy and Waste to Energy”, “Energy Efficiency Measures”, and “Sustainable Public Transport and Non-motorised Transport”. As a result all partners developed individual Action Plans, based on the exchange of experiences. IPoP (subcontractor of Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region) took the responsibility to lead the elaboration of local action plan for Ljubljana Urban Region.
