Indices of the value of construction put in place, Slovenia, January 2012 – provisional data

In comparison with December 2011, the value of construction put in place in January 2012 increased by 17.4%. As regards buildings it increased by 38.6% and as regards civil engineering by 3.6%. In comparison with January 2011, the value of construction put in place in January 2012 decreased by 19.7%. As regards buildings it decreased by 32.1% and as regards civil engineering by 7.9%. The value of construction put in place in January 2012 decreased by more than 15% over the 2005 average value. More at www.stat.si/eng.

Territorial units and house numbers, Slovenia, 2011 – final data

Data on territorial units and house numbers and their changes, already published in the First Releases and the SI-STAT Database, are published in Rapid Reports too. Data are published at the level of municipalities, and statistical and cohesion regions.In 2011, 1 new municipality was established in Slovenia; thus the number of municipalities grew from 210 to 211. In 2011 only 1 new settlement was established in Slovenia, namely Pedrovo in the municipality Nova Gorica. In 2011, 68 streets were established, and 4 streets were cancelled in Slovenia. 64 municipalities had no street system. In the last year 8,781 house numbers were changed in the Register of Spatial Units: 5,940 of these were assigned as new, 1,870 were cancelled and 971 were renumbered. As of 1 January 2012 there were 12 statistical regions, 211 municipalities, 6,031 settlements, 8,453 statistical districts, 17,665 spatial districts, 10,261 streets and 536,616 house numbers registered in the Register of Spatial Units. House price index, Slovenia, 4th quarter 2011 – final data

In the fourth quarter of 2011, dwelling prices in Slovenia were on average 0.5% lower than in the third quarter of 2011. The prices of existing flats went down, while the prices of newly built flats went up. Again very few newly built flats were sold. More at www.stat.si/eng.
